On March 3, 2021 nearly 100 individuals gathered over Zoom to hear from leaders and advocates across the state of Massachusetts to hear about the urgency of Parity on Boards brought to you by the Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition, the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women, and YW Boston. Featured speakers included Senator Jason Lewis, Representative Haddad, Representative Liz Miranda, Commissioner Nurys Camargo, and Andrea Silbert, President and CEO of the Eos Foundation. We were provided with a research update showing why this legislation is urgent. Legislators and Commissioner Camargo discussed the importance of diversity in public service. The Coalition provided next steps and ways for you to take action or become a board member yourself. You can watch the recording here.
